Himalayan Health Care

Our goal has always been to help the people in Nepal to help themselves, and we seek to make a lasting difference in the lives of the people we help. We started with healthcare needs in the remote mountain village of Tipling, and over time our programs have expanded to other villages and beyond healthcare to include education and income generation. We opened a small commmunity hospital in 1994 in the town of Ilam in eastern Nepal, serving a region of 250,000 people. The hospital provides a full array of medical services previously unavailable in this region. It is soon being handed over. Our family of supporters provide help in many ways, including donations of time, services, goods and money. We organize medical treks for healthcare professionals and others to remote villages to provide multi-day clinics. We hope you will consider this or other opportunities to support HHC and see Nepal. We are qualified as a 501(c)(3) organization, so donations can be tax-deductible. Our organization prides itself on being small and efficient; donations made through HHC go to people in Nepal who need this support. HHC's international staff are all volunteers. HHC has no political or religious affiliations. The director of our Nepali operations is Sharad (Anil) Parajuli, who works full-time on HHC activities.

Please consider a donation to help build new clinics to serve expanding populations and regions currently without access to sustainable healthcare or rebuild/refurbish existing clinics. Your donation will go a long way to promote sustainable healthcare in the Himalayas.  

Help Stock Clinics

We need your help to buy basic medicines and medical supplies, including vaccines and vitamins, and to pay and support our Nepali medical staff. We are expanding and developing the Ilam clinic Each year we supply villagers with educational materials, conduct classes and promote income generation schemes.
